For some time, Incommunities has been experiencing demand issues with these blocks. As a result we are currently carrying out a thorough options appraisal and consultation with residents of the blocks. The event today is intended to try and establish what residents of Crosley Wood think of the proposals before any decision is made. Once the consultation is complete we will assess all the feedback as part of the process of making a recommendation to our board.

We do agree that we should have made it clear in the letter sent last week that people would not be made homeless as a result of any decision made. Since then we have sent a follow up letter to reassure our residents and following the meeting today we will be visiting each customer individually to ensure we get as much feedback as possible and address any questions or concerns anyone may have.

We understand that any decision which affects people’s homes is difficult and we will keep everyone informed. No decision has yet been made as to the future of the homes at Crosley Wood, however, whatever the outcome, we will continue to work closely with residents to ensure they have a home appropriate for their needs.

Yours sincerely

Geraldine
